Analysts Anticipate Stronger Foundations for FIBRAs in the Rest of the Year

The foundations of real estate investment trusts (FIBRAs) are being reinforced, so a stronger operating performance is expected for the remainder of the year, after reporting positive figures in the first half, even though conditions are difficult due to the increase in the benchmark interest rate and inflation that does not let up.

Between January and June, the revenues of the 16 FIBRAs that make up the sector grew 19.45% overall, to 29.80 billion pesos; funds from operations (FFO) increased 16.05%, to 12.01 billion, and occupancy was 91.70%, on average, lower than the 93.02% of the same months of 2021, without considering the hotel segment.
