Despite price hikes, industrial sector records record absorption

According to SiiLA, starting in mid-2020, the price of construction inputs, such as steel, soared to record highs. However, the pace of the industrial market did not slow down; and even in the last quarters, record periods in gross absorption have been registered.

The platform indicated that steel represents between 30% and 40% of the construction costs of an industrial building; therefore, the effect of the increase in prices was immediately reflected.
