Fibra Educa, the first real estate investment trust in the education sector, acquired four properties last February alone, adding 16,563 square meters of rentable space to its portfolio of properties, although it did not disclose the amount of resources invested in each transaction.
The new properties in the company's portfolio are located in Baja California Norte, Sonora, Coahuila and Sinaloa, the latter two states being new real estate markets or where it did not have a presence before.
Prior to these acquisitions, the company reported a portfolio comprised of 54 properties in the education sector with a gross rentable area of 414,289 square meters, which includes one property in the development phase, as well as five other properties in the office sector, with a space of 34,907 square meters.
