Grupo Bimbo's Plan to Circulate without Polluting

By the end of this year, Grupo Bimbo will be choosing ecological units for the transportation and distribution of its products, according to Rodolfo Emanuel Álvarez Chávez, Bimbo's Global Manager of Technical Studies.

It will be until next year when the bakery will be testing electric trucks of different brands, in order to advance its goal of reducing its emissions by 50% by 2030.

The bakery currently operates 27,745 distribution units in Mexico, of which only 1,300 are electric, while the rest run on diesel and gasoline.
