Mítikah opens its doors in Mexico City

By SiiLA

After 16 years of coordinated efforts and more than twenty-two billion pesos invested, the Mítikah shopping center officially opens its doors to the public. On September 23, 2022, this mixed-use complex will be opened by operators such as Grupo Gigante, Alsea, Axo, Inditex and H&M, among others.

The shopping center has a gross rentable area (GRA) of more than 120,000 m2, 280 retail spaces and anchor department stores such as El Palacio de Hierro and Liverpool. The main esplanade overlooks the residential and office buildings; it is worth mentioning that Centro Comercial Mítikah is part of the Mítikah complex that houses the hospital, housing, exhibition center, offices and the shopping center.

The opening featured pre-Hispanic themed art, multiple ribbon cuttings, shows and choreographies. Also, as FUNO comments in an article published on opening day, "the plaza will be a gathering point and showcase for artistic demonstrations with a continuous program of exhibitions, concerts and shows, so that local and regional talents will have a showcase for their respective works."

The SiiLA team attended the inauguration and witnessed the entire event that took place inside the mall.
