A decisive point for the consumer experience, logistics has become the investment focus of marketplaces to shorten the distance from their consumers and reduce the delivery time of goods. With a logistics network designed and planned from scratch, the e-commerce giant Mercado Livre has been investing in logistics as a differential.
"An expressive portion of the population already feels the positive effects of access to this logistics, but we understand that this is a moving target and that consumer expectations are always growing towards better experiences", according to Stelleo Tolda, president of Mercado Livre for Latin America, in an exclusive interview with Mercado&Consumo.
Last Monday (14), Mercado Livre announced the start of delivery operations for orders placed on the same day in the Greater São Paulo region and the metropolitan regions of Florianópolis (SC) and Salvador (BA). The service is valid for purchases made of products flagged as Full on the platform, including items already stored in a Mercado Livre distribution centre until 11 am.
