The national office market was one of the most affected by the closure of non-core activities derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, having to change its business model to a great extent.
According to SiiLA Mexico's Market Update, large companies that housed hundreds of employees have had to adapt to a hybrid work model, which will dictate trends in building occupancy.
The firm noted that in each market it monitors, different trends were observed throughout 2021. Such is the case of the strengthening of flexible spaces, the reconversion of spaces and stability in consolidated submarkets. However, vacancies continued to grow throughout the year.
