
A pandemic that mixes economic destruction and has incentivized people to work from home, the vacancy rate of high-end offices in Rio once again broke the 30% threshold, according to data from the SiiLA Brasil platform.
The percentage in the first quarter closed at 30.7%, the highest since the third quarter of 2019 (32%). Therefore, the occupation of corporate slabs is experiencing its worst moment of the pandemic, even though Rio has not won new high-end corporate properties in over two years.
In the six regions that concentrate offices with this profile, companies have this year vacated 15 thousand square metres - the equivalent to two football fields of official dimensions.
