In its Market Update report, corresponding to the first quarter of 2022 (1Q2022), SiiLA Mexico highlighted that the industrial asset registered a gross absorption of more than one million 500,000 square meters (sqm).
Likewise, the Monterrey market absorbed the largest number of square meters during this period. This was due to the fact that the capital goods, and vehicle and parts industries grew their presence in the market.
On the other hand, SiiLA mentioned that the overall availability rate closed 1Q2022 at 2.99%, with a slight contraction versus the previous quarter. This indicator has decreased quarter-over-quarter in the Mexico City, Ciudad Juarez, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Monterrey, Queretaro, Saltillo and San Luis Potosi markets.
