The government saved R$3 billion with remote work in 2020, the Treasury estimates

The federal government saved approximately R$3 billion in 2020 with the remote work system for public servants implemented in the new coronavirus pandemic. The estimate is by the Secretary of the National Treasury, Bruno Funchal.

In the Executive Branch, surveys carried out by the government over the past year show that 50% of the civil servers were working remotely. The figure does not include federal educational institutions.
